I love Jeff but this makes me question his judgement. I’m comfortable with him being YEC but almost every argument in this film is either bad theology, bad hermeneutics or bad science. Open to YEC just cannot find anyone arguing for it honestly.

review of the documentary “Genesis Paradise Lost part 1” and
further thoughts of Christians in the arts in general.




I went to see Genesis Paradise Lost
(GPL) in the theater. I got out of work early and made special
arrangements to see this film. The trailers for this suggested that
it was scientific in nature and would be about a thorough debunking
of Darwinism. I am a Christian. I believe in “intelligent design”
and the Creation account in the Bible. I'm even a young earth
proponent. I really do believe science is on our side on these
matters. I was looking forward to seeing this film.




I walked out of the theater
dissatisfied. It's not that I disagreed with any of the message. It's
not what you say but how you say it....especially in a professional
medium considered part of the arts.
