Yamaha FZ07/MT07 Top Speed!

Alright guys, Heather and I will be at the track this weekend and I'll be riding the FZ one day and the GSXR the other day. I can't wait to see how she performs and just to be back on track with my wife! Great times! =)

Very true what you said about the FZ-07/MT-07 being fun down low. I remember when I had mine, it would get a little sketchy once I got up to about 80mph, especially when the winds were strong. My 2023 GSX-R750 is amazingly stable at 90mph and up, but a bit boring at lower speeds, where the FZ-07/MT-07 shines. Having one of each is the best of both worlds.

Yea my 2017 ninja 650 topped out at around 118-122 depending on incline/decline (before re gearing, now it tops at 100mph lol). Now I have a Z900 tho! Love it

Did you downshift at the end when the rear slid out around that last corner? New riders may grab a handful of brake and panic. It’s too bad it doesn’t come with better tires.

Nice man! I would get my MT-09 up to like 135 and it felt like I was running 160 in comparison to the R1. I never had any head shake really on the MT-09 but I guess it was all that wind from the naked bike. They are really fun down low though! Have fun my man! 🙌🙌

Airbox is very restricted in this. Also a PCV isn't going to give you the power that an ECU flash will, removing all restrictions.

This bike and the Ninja 650 are on my short list for a second bike.
It was nice to hear an honest comparison of the two bikes.
