Next time you have to add USA, forty years ago, when I emigrated to US, I thought I was in the dream land. What is happening in this country is just heartbreaking, I’m 66 already, I wish I knew then what I know about this country now. I feel all my hard work and my dreams shattered just before my eyes. My age folks usually looking forward for retirement and enjoy their retirement, sadly I’m panicking for uncertainty and aggressive government policies towards elderly people, everything is out of reach for retired people, the rent, food, safety. US government no longer has respect for their citizens I don’t know in the past some how they were pretending they are. Government intentionally creating racial division, instead of uniting people.

I lived in Japan for 35 years and love it! Am thinking about moving back. It’s definitely safer, cheaper, and very clean.

Already fluent in French, having owned an apment for 30 yrs, when I relocated here I am miserable. The adm details are intended to obfuscate a broken social system. As a physician, once hospitalised the care was sub minimal. The staff poorly trained, limited range of medications, it was pre-reap;utionary France with levels of power over patients that was against everything I knew as appropriate medical care in the US. Treatment is like an Old Ford plant, you are an inanimate object on an assembly line: don't let your fingers venture far or they will be cut off. Everything I experienced in 3 hospital visits were third world quality. With wealth in France there is a different way of life. Despite an Ile St Louis spacious home, etc., I regret having made the move.

I'm sorry for the most part I understand why ex pats don't like their new homes but the one thing that kept popping up that I don't understand is the English speaking part. If your moving to a country that doesn't speak English you should learn their language first at least enough to get by day to day. That's very ignorant to assume just because you going to live in a big city in a different country thatt alot of people will speak English. English is the language of corporate and diplomats around the world not down in the streets and stores of everyday people in foreign countries.

Know a a fellow soldier who moved to Germany in the eighties. The reason was he lived in Santa Monica after the army.
On average he would see a crime or the results of one about ever two weeks and he realized the situation was going to get worse.
Looking back he said it was a very wise decision. He can work around his area without a care and there's very little next to no crime.
He said most Germans have the sense not to get involved with drugs.

We went to Vietnam for our vacation and stayed in Ho Chi Min City. We had a great time. People were actually pretty nice. Food and everything else was cheap.

Correction: Vancouver, BC does NOT get down to -40F or -40C. It has a mild Pacific climate similar to London, England.

Vancouver never would go to -40, maybe -5 max and not very often! Calgary will get to -40 where i live!

I was raised in Brazil! You won’t get by with Spanish, it’s not our language! Everything is highly expensive and violence is on the rise! Good thing: The brazilians are amazingly fun and kind.

This guy is real sharp and knowledgeable. Quotes of 40 below in Vancouver? Maybe during the last ice age. Vancouver may have a handful of winter days below freezing and typically little snow. This whole narrative is highly suspect. Need a fact check.

I am in Vietnam and I can confirm that the #1 problem is litter. I had been here to visit 3 times before so I knew that going in but I chose to move here anyway. ❤ If they could just get the litter problem figured out, this could truly be a beautiful country.

I'm Canadian. Winter is super cold in the north but ok in the South. Québec is not as expensive as Vancouver. Canada is a big country, there's good and bad. But we're the only country where you can have 4 seasons in one day, those who live here know what i'm talking about😅

UK weather and natural disaster resistance is actually a plus in my opinion. No freezing winters or scorching summers isn’t a bad thing. Nor is no earthquakes, volcanoes and ultra high winds or monsoons.
