I don’t know what it is about photos I’ve seen from other social media accounts, but the Girl Dad color looks way better in this video. For today’s QOTD: I loved the 2k4s and owned the All Star Colorway (with the LA stitching on the heel). As far as what I would change, the shoe is darn near perfect as is, but I’d switch up the foam to a Cushlon, just to make the heel-toe transition a little smoother. Other than that, keep the Zoom Air, the plate, and more importantly, the strap.

they can put a full length zoom on the 2k4 and call it a new retro. 😁 they can increase quantity production on kobe protros but then, resellers will only get them more and stock them even more if not sold.

This particular Kobe 4 is not my favorite, but I started liking Kobe’s Nike line with the 4, so I still like it on a base level. That buttery suede is kinda changing my mind for the better. The 2K4 is a shoe that I felt was made for me back when they came out. They were cushioned, but not so much so that you felt like it took an extra half second for the shoe to bounce back from whatever move you wanted to make before making it. The 2K4 still had court feel and quick response without being hard.

@weartesters - For the 2k4, the first thing I would do would be changing the direction of the strap closure. Having a strap that attached/closed on the medial side of a sneaker, only left the opportunity to be unlatched when playing as one ran on the court. And over time, that strap would no longer attach due to abrasion. Have the strap latch on the lateral side, and problem solved. Second suggestion might be to add a zoom stroebel for for comfort / cushioning purposes. Otherwise, the 2k4 is solid throughout.

I’d like the Black/yellow Kobe 2 in a Protro. It was the first Kobe I bought back around 2006. I had initially bought a pair of Shoxs at footlocker, but one of the “shoxs” fell off within a few days. I took them back to Footlocker, and the manager told me he’d give me store credit for something else. I went for the Kobe’s because I was always a fan and wanted to ball in them as well. They were bulky but I liked the straps.
