In this episode of #TheDailyDoug, I'm going back to one of the songs from my adolescence that is in the category of "didn't realize how great it was at the time." Silent Lucidity is Queensryche's all-time most popular song. It's a beautifully produced record with excellent vocals, sensitive guitars, and lush orchestral arrangement by Michael Kamen. We're listening to the 2000 remastered version of the studio recording.

This song has always been very intriguing to me. I didn’t realize that decades ago that it would become a source of inspiration and comfort to me as just a month ago, I had to say farewell to my father after he passed away at 84 years of age.
