The 700 has more bottom end that’s all it don’t make it twice as fast. The Z400 are always under estimated 💯

Same thing happen to my z400 against my pals raptor 700 now its 6 bikes or more when we race. I got 40 overbore +4 crank. 42mm fcr carb pp heads stage 2 cams full exhaust

My 400 is stock and I beat 700 raptors all the time than again I got an 09 400

Stock for stock raptor 700r is a little bit faster, in dirt you won't notice because you can't put all the power constantly. Second gen z400 has 36hp vs 40hp on the 700r.
For me the best two quads for recreational purposes z400 2nd gen or raptor 700r 09-
