I hope so, he never goes missing and works hard for the team.

Maybe now we are taking our time and not smashing the ball into the box as hard as he can figure out his finishing

I don't think the game on the weekend proved anything we didn't know. Nunez is capable of the spectacular on occasion. He hasn't proved his finishing is good enough to be a number 9 for us, and I doubt he ever will

It was interesting to hear Josh's comments on Darwin benefiting from Slot being much more directive and clear in what he wants than Klopp, who painted with a broader brush.
I agree with that, and I think Darwin responds better to this stronger and more directive style. I would add to that, that if we look at Uruguay (where Darwin performs more consistently and more often at a higher level), he will be getting extremely directive coaching from Bielsa, and he is playing in a team that is also pretty highly controlled and disciplined. And it def seems to work for Darwin cos he is an absolute star for Uruguay.

Guys can you just clip the beginning of the vids so there's not a minute and a half of silence, please!

The ridiculous XG is why i think Nunez is the x factor. This specialist analysis was superb. It backs my instinct to back Nunez contrary to the entitled, fickle Livetpool fans. My gut always told me theres special something about Nunez. I love Jota but we can't build a team around such an injury prone player, mind he will be helped by not being asked to run like a dog 24/7. Arne Slot is a smart man and I am loving it. Hope he can build something and not have to resort to the cheating dark art lows of Mikel Arteta.

I agree that there is definately an element of more control in what were trying to do under slott in the games so far this season, but still alot to work to do going forward in terms of our possession game as there is still alot of carelessness in giving the ball away in our own half and outside our own 18 yard box when were not necessarily under extreme pressure.

Also, if we're gonna have a striker that is constantly on the defender's shoulder then it's the duty of our midfielders to recognize that and play him in FIRST TIME, don't wait for the indication cos you know he's on his bike anyway. That should solve the off side issue

When we no longer have 'is Nunez ready' videos then he will either have been 1/ sold, or 2/ be first-choice striker and scoring 20+ league goals a season. Right now, I'd say it's 50-50 whether it will be 1/ or 2/

Question.... Are we certain that he's not left footed and he's just not realised it? 🤣🤣🤣 It would go a long way to explaining some of the finishing the past few seasons. All jokes aside I adore the man, he gives so much of a shit about doing well for his teammates and the club/country and he's a fucking nightmare for defenders...

I hope he can find his form that brought him to LFC. His confidence is on the floor and if he can improve his English and finds his shooting boots.

Are the stats maybe better than they could be due to the fact we have not yet played a top 6 team? Need to see how we perform against City, Arsenal, Spurs, Villa, Chelsea?

I think deep down we all looking for Nunez to be our prime Torres

Imagine having Diaz Gakpo Nunez Jota Salah and Chiesa plus perhaps Danns as well in fit and in form ??? You tell a team that could match it . ???

Not sure why there needs to be this kind of analysis around Nunez. His issue is that he doesn’t score tap ins on a consistent basis and I don’t think anyone can coach that

Complaining that he's didn't pass the bal to Salah is BS. You need to complain about Salah who was a bit selfish that game

if only we would have committed to Nunez a long time ago we wouldnt be struggling so much, we could have had a proper striker thats settled and in form, but no we gotta mess around, whenever something goes wrong he gets picked as the scapegoat even if its not his fault we are leaking or playing like shit, every team got their striker who they stuck with, even when they looked crap at first they let them play and at some point it started working out, Isak, Watkins, Dhuran, Hojlund, Jackson, fucking Wood is doing bits for Forest, its just Liverpool who gotta keep speculating and questioning everything instead of actually playing with a striker, if City can accommodate Haaland dont tell me Liverpool cant do with Nunez who is willing to work for the team
