I love this series of Reprints! I am interested in the difference of components between edition.

I love Metro. It's one of my favorite game. Works with a lot of people (hard core gamers, occasional gamers, kids, adults, ...). It is easy to explain and usually doesn't take too long to play.
What were they thinking with this "deluxe" edition ??? This is horrible!!! The only good decision they took is to have the tracks and only the tracks appear on the tile (compare to "Cable car" which is a reimplementation of Metro that is unplayable because you cannot see the tracks on the tile). All other decisions that were made while creating this "deluxe" box are just the wrong ones!
This is sad, because it means there will be people playing this game and having a bad time with it, while it's actually a quite enjoyable game if you have the original box.

I don't like the Queen games Big Box box sizes. Most Queen games have the same components or very similar and also have A LOT of empty space in the box. And the big box games have the same empty space problem making me wonder, did the box need to get bigger?
I'm pretty over big boxes.

As for the old version of Star Realms. I have my Kalex half full of bins. It looks nicer. Also, I theme the bins. Star Realms is in the 2 player bin.

I like the contents of the Alhambra big box, but its insert is really rubbishy and makes it a huge mess. I need to address it by removing the insert and having space to keep all the modules more contained. Right now it's really messy.

That being said, I'm not surprised this Big Box is a mess.

I saw Metro at the local game store but not cheap. I mainly could find videos about older prints of the game and it looked like a good game, but this video nicely showed what has changed and I can see that does look like a problem. I think I will pass on this one. Not like I don't have enough games to play already.

At this point I just ignore any Queen games. Bad production values, no attention to detail, big boxes for the sake of being big, ugly yellow color palette. They charge a lot of money on ks and in a year or two the games hit discount bins. Most mini expansions simply don't add anything to the game. There are better companies that earn my money. No need for Queen games.

From poor insert to horrible board implementation, Metro looks like an unbelievably bad execution of a "deluxe" version. Really have to wonder what they were thinking / why they thought that was a good idea...

The main thing Star Realms need is better artwork.

For the acrylic border, get some non slip spray. Problem solved. You could do all the tiles but I'm guessing the border will be enough.

For anyone wanting to post, but I shouldn't have to....don't bother, learn to be a problem solver not a moaner.
