Great video- i did some of this research a couple of months ago (monthly bills) and was laughing at how much cheaper it is than Ontario. The condo fees (community fees) and yearly taxes are hilariously low compared to where we live. Many beautiful places have no fees, 120 euros per year for garbage and 300 euros for taxes. Fantastic.

Hi from Ireland. Just found your vlogs, very good work. As a similar aged couple hoping to move to spain this has been a really useful video. I know not exact but the prices are an eye and Canada seem not too dissimilar!

It's interesting to see how much things really cost in other countries

Thanks guys most informative. Clearly Canada and Australia sadly have a too much in common. No competition and lots of gouging. I look forward to more on your journey. 😊

Did you consider including mobile with your fiber? I didn’t and am rethinking it. I’ve done the prepaid SIMs in the past but can apparently add a mobile SIM to our internet service for 5€. That would be every month, obviously, even while we aren’t there. I’m just trying to compare the cost/convenience.

Your comments on the monthly SUMA fee really struck home with us.
We pay the equivalent of 333 Euros per month in Edinburgh UK

As an artist I would LOVE to move to Spain. It is nearly impossible to make a living as a musician in Canada now, unfortunately.

We were renting a home in Torrevieja and in Jan Feb our electrical bill was around €90 p month due to how cold it was during those months. Some nights it was around zero degrees but I assume during the summer it’d be really low. If we did move, our winter heating bill would likely be even more as in the shoulder seasons we’d likely want to heat our pool. What about cost of security? Our rental home in Cabo Roig had an alarm system with rapid response team as part of the contract. We don’t have that cost in Canada. Can you also cover cost of actual move when you do it please. Cargo fares, beaurocracy, paperwork required etc.? I have a great contact for a consultant in Torrevieja that’ll help you through the government paperwork. She helped me with my NIE while we were there.

From what I have reseached it is a bit of a process to move to Spain from Canada and get a residence permit to live in Spain for more than 90 days the Schengen Area? Good for you :)

Nice video! You ll discover that dental insurance is a scam, you ll have to pay an amount that equals the same you pay without insurance, and you ll receive a better attention too. Im any case its not too expensive.

Besides the cost of living you must tell us that minimum wage in Spain is $1, 134.00/month that’s nothing and there is no work in Spain due to the massive population and watch your property taxes if you don’t pay is JAIL TIME

The health insurance company is not well known in Spain, go for Axa, Mapfre, Sanitas, Adeslas, I think you wanted to say Asisa, not bad but notbas good of the others
