☁️ Products I Picked & Tested:

Welcome to another project tea cup vlog! Here is a day in my life as a writer & content creator, working on my fantasy novel. We are back to working on draft 6 of the book and, good god, it's been a nightmare year so far for sickness and bad luck, but I'm doing my best to be positive and I'm super happy we're back to writing this book again. In this day in my life vlog, I talk about rejection and touch on some themes about imposter syndrome and creativity and the pressure of having a youtube channel while writing a novel. I hope you enjoy the video 💛

Rejections can be so hard, especially when there's nothing helpful or constructive added to it. I remember when I was 19 years old and was in a group peer review with a published author. There were about 8 of us in total he reviewed over two hours. He saved the last ten minutes for me to tell me how bad my piece was. No constructive criticism, nothing to take away from it. It was just bad. Looking back on it, definitely not work I look back on fondly, but it still obliterated any drive I had for several months. It took me so long to push myself into trying again, but I eventually did. I hope you take the time to repair your confidence and push yourself too ❤

You are a real inspiration. Not because you're perfect, but because you're vulnerable with us about your doubts and fears that we all share in some form or another. I wish good fortune on you and your loved ones for the rest of the year.

Dear Christy, I don't think you understand just how much you are helping other people write. I never thought I would see myself writing my novel, but seeing you inspired me to chip away at it, and now I have a concrete timeline and research, and a physical draft. I also received two rejections this week for a short story I was proud of, and really, we all suffer through it. But you are so vulnerable and graceful in your suffering. Thank you so much for sharing this journey with us.

It's amazing how much I can relate to you even though we live on different continents, speak other languages, and have different cultures, and yet life for women seeking to be writers today is so similar in so many ways.
My specialty has nothing to do with fantasy literature (rather realistic-existential literature), but your videos captivate me every second you talk about your characters and your novel because you do it with a lot of passion. Thanks for your videos. They motivate me to move forward with my projects. I love them! Thank you so much!

I totally relate to the "sitting at the desk like a goblin with greasy hair typing away" lol that's pretty much sums up most of my days too.

I can't watch a Christy video without tea. Tonight, it's Rosehip. It's raining here in Brisbane and I did another bookbinding class today. Great to see another video, and my goodness, I'm so jealous of being able to sit in that beautiful library!

that short story sounds so perfect! like legends and lattes vibes! I have absolutely no doubt your book will be published and I cant wait to buy it. You really hooked me with your character and you talking about CFS. This makes you all the more admirable.

I can't say I was expecting to cry listening to your video, but currently I'm dealing with chronic fatigue and it's taken over my life and the way you explained it just hit me so hard

This video felt so intimate and inspiring at the same time. I have been following you for over 4 years I think, and it was so beautiful getting to know more about how you feel about your work and your characters.
Honestly wishing you the best luck with Project Teacup because I cannot wait to meet those characters 💛💛

Another lovely video, as always! I'm so glad to hear that your literary agent has encouraged you to take the time you need for editing your novel. I can only imagine how frustrating it must have felt to be sick and therefore unable to work on your edits. I appreciate you sharing the insight you experienced with one of your main characters while being sick yourself. It's interesting how sometimes when our creative plans get derailed, we end up with a little more time for a story to reveal something new to us. With that said, I'm so glad that you are feeling better! Thank you for sharing snippets of Project Teacup and some vulnerable aspects of your own life. 🤗

Oh my gosh, who would have thought! I am going through CFS as well at the moment and I'm writing a novel in which one of my characters deals with something like it as well. i did not expect to relate to you in this way, as well. Wow! I'm so glad you're better now. I enjoy your videos sooo much. They've inspired me to pick up my notebook and a pen again and to chip away at my novel. Thank you! 🥰

Just when I was a little bit down on my inspiration, this video comes out. Perfect timing.
I don't know if you'll read this, but I found your channel last year about the same time I took up writing fiction after many years of screenplays. You've accompanied me from your channel during all the process, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like this.
I want you to know that it's not just Project Teacup anymore: there's a little bit of your spark attached to many other projects.
Oh, and I'm so glad you are feeling better! I hope soon all that health issues will be a thing of the past.

Greetings from a place where's also autumn (yet still hot) :-)
