When you are in isolation, realize that the player that is guarding you CANNOT see behind them. Knowing this, you can use this to your advantage and deceive your defender. This was so effective for Jayden Moore because he had a mismatch that was a big. So if there was a screen approaching, the big wanted to know if it was there so he can prepare.
Now looking at from the perspective of the defender, you can't turn your head in isolation and you gotta trust your teammates to communicate these ball screens to you.

I love screens, keeps myself and my teammates involved and focused. Easy 3 too, if you can shoot tho!

He should’ve been up not letting you rub your shoes and letting you point at nothing. Good stuff to catch him flat footed.

I’m always clowning like that with screens in 2k. I reject it completely for a drive/middy or just shoot, then they don’t know if I’ll ever use it. Then I start faking all that and use the screen fully and they’re cooked.

Honestly this is one of my favorite go to moves, that and rejecting the screen.. normally works 8/10 times

Made no difference. The big was always going to play off because they can't stay in front of the guard. That shot is going to be open no matter what.

Bad defense from the team and the individual. The team needed to be talking to him and he needed to use his hands to feel for a screener.

The thing about that is even if a screen was coming which your teammates should communicate that’s not how you’d want to defend a shooter anyway.

They should’ve been saying “by yourself” as soon as the mismatch was happening

As defender my eyes never leave my player if he has the ball. If a screen is getting get ready to fight through a mf and take away the space from the ball carrier
