This was a really great tutorial. Clear and concise. I have recently made an elastic band bonnet and the gathering around the band is so bulky and sometimes uncomfortable to sleep on. I'm going to try your method next.

Now I plan to go hunting to goodwill to find myself some silk scarf (I hate how polyester satin can get electrostaticky) and I will give this a go. I am white, but I hate how my hair tangles itself at night, so I think this might be a solution to my problem.
