Against the backdrop of global challenges such as climate change, nuclear science offers new opportunities and faces complex challenges. At the event - run by the Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non‑Proliferation and the Oppenheimer Project - Director General Grossi highlighted the IAEA’s critical mission to promote the peaceful use of nuclear technology, while addressing non-proliferation and safety.
