I know I’m late to the party, but I am truly shocked that Dawson is not on here. I get it that he was a high school boy, but he was the single most selfish & whiny person ever. Rumpelstiltskin from Once Upon a Time comes to mind. Between keeping Belle isolated from her family and friends in early seasons, to lying, gaslighting and even cheating on her in later seasons, he's not going to be getting any "best partner" awards any time soon.

Then there's Rumpel's son, Neal. He's actually pretty likable when he's a kid, but as an adult? Hoo boy. He abandons Emma at the drop of a hat upon learning that she's from the same world that his dad is from. If that weren't bad enough, he lets her take the fall for a crime that _he_ committed, leaves her to rot in jail, and when they finally meet up again years later, has the _audacity_ to ask her to cover for him so that he can avoid his dad. And then in season 3, when Killian starts showing signs of having feelings for Emma, Neal acts all jealous and possessive despite the fact that he and Emma are not together anymore and haven't been for twelve years. Just... really dude? _Really?_

Mattie from Awkward comes to mind. He got better, but early seasons Mattie was so horrible, I still get heartbroken when I think about how he would screw Jenna in secret, but pretend he didn't know her in public because he was popular and she wasn't. Then she finally gets a chance to be with someone who likes her for her, and he sabotages it.

Maybe it's just because it felt so real. It's unfortunately extremely common for a guy to be like "I don't want us to be anything but F-buddies, but I don't want anyone else to have you."

To me he just came across not supportive to Topanga many times when she needed space, the hurt she felt when Cory cheated/ lied to her about Lauren. He crossed boundaries to knock sense into her own parents when had they gotten divorced . When that’s not even his place to do that. Just sharing my thoughts about Cory.

Sheldon is not the worst boyfriend in Big Bang Threoy. Sure, he can be selfish and says the wrong things to Amy sometimes, but he does care and love for Amy. His heart was broken when they broke up. He also flew all the way to New Jereay to propose to (sure, he kissed another woman, but that wasn't his fault either. The other kissed him, not the other way around). Sheldon also made sure that Amy name was on the noble prize or he didn't want it, something he wanted all his life. I don't about you but that good boyfriend/husbamd to me.

If you want the worst boyfriend on Big Bang, that goes to Lenard. Lenard and Penny always fight.

Was Dean Forester a bad boyfriend? Rory cheated him, lied to him, and made everyone think he was a bad person when they broke up the first time because she's childish.

I would argue that TED from HIMYM, is a worse Boyfriend than Barney. Barney never seeks to find meaningful relationships. TED does, and every single one ends badly.
