Both are great pianos, and so diferent to each other that you can not really compare, Steinway has a clearer more cantabile sound, Bosendorfer is warmer, and richer in tone, it really depend on what music you are going to play. In this video I kind of prefer Steinway.

This is a very subjective question. Pianos are is individual as humans. No two even of the same brand are the same. Far from it. So, it really doesn't make sense to compare. This is only relevant to those specific instruments.

Bosendorfer lacks bass but sounds fuller.

Steinway has a fantastic bass for a 5’7” grand and is my choice for that reason ALONE. Bass is EVERYTHING to me in a piano, upright or grand.

I’ll take an upright with fantastic bass over a puny baby grand ANY day.
