Actually Turkey is building a whole other artificial canal parallel to this strait to bypass the treaty. The construction started just last year. There is whole lot of politics going on with it, navy admirals have been arrested for criticizing its construction.

Gupta-ji, please educate your readership on the emotional/ intellectual impact regarding that a major war has begun in today's Ukraine, the western 1/4 of which was pre-WW2 Poland, which was not only the geographical start of WW2, but also the cradle of the Holocaust. I feel that today's Indians do not understand the emotional historical context where this war is unfolding. Thank you!
