Hi James, my daughter and I live in one of the new flats that were built at Port Hamilton, just behind the Scottish Widows building. I often wondered what used to be here..but could never find anything online. This was brilliant and so interesting but very sad that is has changed so much. Thank you!

This is brilliant - always difficult to imagine so really grateful to you making this model. Ive so many places I would love to see you model Constantinople's Great Palace; early modern Stornoway; Edinburgh's West End prior to the New Town, or Lothian Road before the Princes St Railway Station was extended, even old Leith please.

I visited the Port Hamilton bakery rub by St Cuthbert's Coop until about 1976. The bakery building still had the high frontage facing onto the canal, AND the bollards to which barges moored. It took little imagination to see how cereal could be brought directly into the bakery.

Love this. Would love to see how the west port looked back in 1827 .
Walk down Tanner's close past William Hare house then down round the back of king stables road to grassmarket with a walk up stevenslaw close to see Daft Jamie standing at mouth of close at high street.

Excellent work. What about the same for Granton Harbour? Lots of old photos to use as background. It’d be interesting with trains and boats in a busy harbour. Cheers.

Brilliant! I'd love to see what the disused railway line between Tranent and Pencaitland (now a wonderful path) looked like.

How about seeing what the tunnel from Princess Street down to Rodney Street war like it was a coal tunnel at one time.
