Small tip. That hook at the end of tyre lever can be attached to spoke and this way you don't need to hold it while removing the tire

Greetings, I would like to add to the Puncture remedy. Be careful while checking the inside surface. I know someone that ran his hand quickly while checking the inside to find it was a piece of glass...and then he needed medical attention

Legs aren't my main problem on my bike, I need three more lungs.

"with these three things (mini pump, inner tube, multi tool) you can fix almost anything" first issue: use a tire leaver to get inner tube out

Also check the outside after a flat! Recently had something stuck in there that I couldn't feel from the inside, resulting in 2 flats.

I suppose clocks in the UK go in a different direction than in the rest of the world?

I think patching a tube is under rated. The last puncture I had I literally was back rolling in 10 minutes. I found a shard of glass in the tire so I knew exactly where the problem was. With the wheel on the bike I pulled the tire off the rim where the glass was, pulled the tube out. Applied glue, applied the patch, pushed it back in the tire, tire on the wheel, inflated and away I went. Properly done, the patch does not need drying time.

If you have a cheaper wheel with the spoke nipples directly under your rim tape, it is a good idea to let the air out of the tube before turning the nipples, or they can rub a hole through the tape and then the tube, leaving you with a flat tire.

Simon, that loose bar tape... tape (3:24) needs to be tidied up. Also, would be great to do a video on what to do if your rear mech hanger or rear derailleur breaks (i.e. make a single speed to get to the train station, if you don't carry a spare hanger). Have had to do this to my own bike and others on a number of occasions to save a long walk...

I was just going to ask what multitool you guys are using, then I saw Topeak? Thanks. What an informative video. I've been following you guys only a couple of weeks now, but I'm a fan (from Belgium!)

for a flat, keep the tube valve in the rim, until you find the holes in the tube, then match the tube position to the rim to find out what caused the flat. It will be either caused from something in the rim (ie. spoke/tape) or from the tire (glass/wire etc)

I once went through a set of brake blocks in a cross race, only took an hour, im amazed they got chewed through so quickly! Instead of braking I had to dismount, negotiate the corner and remount!

Matt's Trek makes me so jealous. That matte paint-job though.
