How to make your PC quieter and review of the Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM fans! Noctua recently sent over two of their 120mm NF-A12x25 fans, and I have to say I am impressed by the thermal and noise performance of these fans. They manage to cool my components in my small form factor Louqe Ghost S1 case while maintaining great acoustic performance.

Nice video Tony! Glad to see you were able to get some nice fans from Noctua for your system!
I think the only thing I might've done differently was to show each graph one at a time instead of all 3 at once. That way the viewers aren't overloaded with information and you can walk them through each statistic.
Otherwise, keep up the great work!

I know most hate the color of noctuas but I always loved the vulgar aesthetics of noctuas. Good video!

I first mounted the NF-A12x25 in push directly on the mounting plate. (like you did)
There was a lot of turbulence because of the design of the mounting plate.
Changed the whole thing around to a pull configuration with the fans sitting on the radiator.
This reduced the volume by at least 40% to almost inaudible.
Just my two cents.

So with the brand new Ryzen 3 CPU'S, should I get one of those Ryzen 3's or A Ryzen 5 3600x? I'm a bit split in between... help

Hi
It pays off to install the NF-A12x25 PWM in a push-pull configuration in front of and behind the cooler in the housing?

Wow I had no idea Ghost S1 gets this loud. Even with Noctua fans, they are way too loud for my taste. Maybe I should reconsider nCase M1 despite the aesthetics.

If you were streaming, is the noise loud enough to get into your mic without a noise gate set? Or better yet, would it be loud enough to negatively affect music production?

Can you fit one of those fans below the psu as an exhaust or is it too big?

You should really look at undervolting your cpu. I have the same cpu and motherboard, with a corsair h100x cooler, plus those noctua fans. I've got my cpu set to 4.2ghz on all cores at around 1.2v, and my temperatures are considerably lower than yours at stock. Its a pretty easy process, and you can start by messing around with Ryzen Master to dial in your undervolt. This whole process will lower your temps by a good 10 degrees, and will actually improve performance on multithreaded workloads as you'll be clocked higher than stock.

do you think is a good idea mounting these fans on a kraken x63 with a 140>120mm fan adaptor? or i should get the Noctua NF-A14?
