The Clone Wars: "Am I a joke to you?"

An old man on his last legs sword fighting against a cyborg who is in constant pain and agony would probably look just like that if you think about it, plus that battle itself had a lot more mental aspects then physical ones. The prequel movies take place at the peak of the Jedi order right before it’s fall, so it’s kind of no wonder that the fights shown in those movies are a lot more tactically proficient. As for Rey and Kylo, everyone assumes that Kylo Ren is this awesome fighter because he’s a Sith, but they all forget that he left Jedi training as a teenager, and therefore kind of a fights like a teenager. And Rey started out, knowing nothing about light saber combat, and then found Luke Skywalker, one of the greatest light saber combatants to exist in the Star Wars universe, so that might explain her change in fighting style from movie to movie.

whilst the prequels made them more stunning, compared to the sequels the originals had technical accuracy and it was enjoying to watch, it was genuinely just a sword due but with glowing swords

It's almost like Jedi Masters are far more proficient than young children at fighting. Who would have thought huh?

Nah prequels were peak lightsaber cgi dont anyone lie, we can acknowledge the originals are cool but the lightsabers were way more refined in the prequels

The original trilogy had the best saber fights. It was before the idea of a Jedi became this extremely over-the-top, overpowered, completely ridiculous thing. They just had authentic sword fights that were slightly amped for cinematic flair.

Way back was with genuine skill, back then was with some skill and mostly style, now it’s just…swingy swingy “hey batta’ batta’!”

I like the new battles. They're very emotion-driven, Kylo Ren fights brutally and angrily, and Rey only gains the upper hand when she calms her mind and focuses

some one remade that last fight and it looked epic

Way way back then was still pretty fire.

Though the prequels looked cool, it isn't realistic. You don't aim for the blade in swordfights, you aim dor your opponent's body. Disney at least got that down.

Pretty sad that episode 4 had better lightsaber choreography than the Disney shit
