I just want to say thank you for putting this video together. I watched the older one also from a couple years ago where you compared several low cost options. I had been looking for one of these telescoping ladders for my handyman business and was looking hard at the low cost ones. I am very glad I did some looking for reviews and came across your channel. I decided I did not want to risk my life for a few hundred dollars. I ordered the 15.5ft Xtend+Climb Contractor Series 155+ from Lowes who had it for $386.98 before tax. Decided to order the nylon carrying case as well for another $55.

8:45 same as the other ladders? you can lock any of the other ladders at any run as well? Not like they have to be fully extended? You really seem like your on a wich hunt to make the other ladders seem inferior. I’m sorry man but your attempts to make the other ladders sound bad with non valid points just make you look incompetent

Oh, man, you are comparing a contractor/pro grade ladder (cost $500) with a ladder that cost only $150 and are made for occasional DIY use. This is not an "apple-to-apple" comparison. All 3 ladders could be locked at any run (they do not have to be extended to their full length), but the reviewer said only his favorite ladder could do this. Also, all three ladders were made in China. The reviewer claimed he's a very reasonable man, but this review video doesn't support his claim.

Thank you for the review. Very helpful. Your work here has probably saved someone from a terrible injury… or worse.

I used my yellow 12' Xtend&Climb for over 5 years. Deploying it multiple times per day in nearly all conditions. Worth every penny. I switched companies and am now buying it for my new job.

All three look scarily/dangerously bendy and wobbly to me.

This guy is phenomenal. Especially his shingle reviews. I told my roofing salesman about him

I bought the Harbor Freight one this weekend and used it several times already and it has been fantastic and no flex either.

Bro you don't need to be 1ft of the wall per 4ft, anything over a 37.5 degree angle is putting undue stress on the ladder, they're designed very strongly to be pushed downwards, and strong enough to support loading at at angle. Putting the angle so you're actually pushing the rungs into the ground not the sides is more dangerous and as shown will break the ladder

I’ve got the 300lb rated 15.5 Pro series and use it for 95% of my inspections. Wash, blow out, and silicone oil the latches and it is is fantastic!

I just bought the xtend+climb proseries 2 4.4m. I can extend all the rungs out and each clicks and shows the green square to say locked.
However, as I start to climb it each section/rung starts to collapse (slowly). In other words the rungs are not locked!
Any idea what is wrong?

Although I appreciate your ladder reviews, I find it interesting that you mention that a competitor ladder is garbage because it is made in China. Well guess what; Xtend+Climb is also made in China!!

I have an aveero. Am not a contractor so I use it only once in a while 12.5 ft and works great. Your most expensive one seemed as flimsy as the others. And who hits their ladder with a sledgehammer lol?

I've ordered 2 xtend and climb contractor 15.5 ladders from Lowes and both won't retract the bottom 2 rungs. It's super frusterating. I've reached out to the company and watched a bunch of youtube to try to fix but no luck. Any ideas?

Is there a video that show the durability smashing test that was briefly mentioned?

I have a question. Do those type of ladders have to be fully extended for use?
