Introduction to QoS

Quality of Service (QoS) is essential to the success of voice and video in a routed/switched network. This session will introduce the language, terms, and essential concepts of QoS in a Cisco routed and switched network.

After attending this session, you will be able to describe classification and marking, queuing, policing, shaping, and the purpose of Low-Latency Queuing for Cisco routers in a collaboration environment. Describe how QoS works in a Cisco switch including the class of service and trust boundaries.
