Although the long jump gold medalist understands the original reasoning behind the ban, Low told the Wide World of Sports that the Olympics and Paralympics are distinct events and should not be confused.

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) initially banned visible Olympic rings tattoos at the Paralympics to avoid promoting a different event, but this ban was lifted just before the Paris Paralympics.

Low added, “I don’t like being called an Olympian and I always correct people doing that”, and stressed the importance of focusing on the Paralympic brand, sharing, “We want to make sure we put all our attention towards this amazing event that we have, and not the one that happened about four weeks ago.”

No offence, but nobody gives a sh*t about the Paralympics, the only reason they're even in the conversation is because they ride the Olympic coattails.
