This video was at the end of my recommended videos. I simply cannot put into words how much my heart needed your testimony tonight. Just a small piece of the last 8 years, last year at 36 on 8/23/23, I had a hysterectomy. God has transformed my perspective because I had to pray from an incredibly broken, desperately broken heart. I started truly studying the Bible praying for God to just show me biblical suffering so I can know that even in painful loneliness He was there. He showed up and has revealed so much truth that is absolutely worth every ounce of suffering. A couple of weeks ago I found out I have to have my 5th abdominal surgery and a week later my second opinion for back surgery turned into a referral for a neurologist because of my symptoms. It's weird, I am at peace overall just worried I'm not the person God has clearly created me to be. The last couple of days have been rough with the reality setting in. Thank you so much for being so brave and with such candor - I'm speechless. Sheila, for hearing God's guidance in the questions and interceding in prayer. I have prayed for the moment to speak with someone and ask these types of questions.

Wow! What a blessing! Thank you Katherine for your story and for reminding the world that when the word says "He won't withhold the good things to those that walk uprightly", He meant the inner things of the spirit that no one else can give like peace and joy in difficult times. I love the deeper understanding that walking in God's will for your life is rooted in your spiritual life and that you are healed and whole on the inside even when your earthly body never fully recovered.

The greatest gift we can give to ourselves as believers is understanding that God's will and purposes for our lives does not rely on the earthly body and its pleasures and accolades but it is rooted in our spiritual lives and in living out His will for our lives regardless of how we look like on the outside. Whenever the earthly body gets bruised or broken by pain and suffering it doesn't change the plans of God for our lives. I truly enjoyed this interview and am even awed by the ministries that have been birthed through your life experience.

The treasure in suffering with the Lord is that He allows us to go through painful things in life to expose us to the gaps in the systems so that He can partner with us on earth to fill those gaps in order to serve those populations that are marginalized, forgotten, oppressed, sick, hungry that He would have otherwise served Himself if He were on earth. Thank you Sheila for a beautiful interview.
