Federal judge grants injunction on Illinois assault weapons ban

A federal judge for the Southern District of Illinois issued an injunction Friday afternoon, ruling the assault weapons ban as unenforceable.

"Assault-Style" is not a gun platform. It's an uninformed term used to describe modern guns in common use, such as sporting, hunting, and defensive uses. Imagine if we all were forced to go back to driving 40mph Model T's because 50k a year people's lives would be saved due to reduced speeds. The politician's argument would be that it's better to get where you are going than not at all. Nobody needs to go that fast.
