Barrows is more accessible. All you gotta do is run there once, finish the kill and then unlock the War's Retreat teleport, which you can attune the portal to Barrows, which will tp you to the front of Barrows.

Now with the implementation of Necromancy, all of that is pretty much solved since Necromancy has you craft your own untradable gear and upgrade it. But I really appreciate this video anyway ^^ I'm just getting into my ironman right now, and this has given me some pretty good insights, so thank you.

I know this is old, but just a correction: Berserker's Fury doesn't "greatly" increase your damage, it's up to 5.5% the lower your HP. It's very miniscule. Even if you camp ~1k hp, you're not even getting a 5% dps increase, while massively increasing the risk of dying. Not worth it.

I think getting warpriest is a pretty good idea and its easy too, unlocks devotion, sacrafice and transfigure out of the way before even starting gwd2 would def not skip this

when i started ironman i rushed smithing and mining (post rework) and having every smithable tier of melee upgrade until masterwork made low level pvm and stat training absolutely a breeze.

Hey, just wondering if when you say go to gwd2 you mean it's doable solo, or that you need a group?

So im a HCIM around 1600 total, i did barrows and got the amulet and I use the quest magic staff/ armor. Does the upcoming release of rex matriarchs affect progression? Should I go for the rings/ tier 82 weapon from that?

If you do go the mage route you can easily kite bandos and zammy gwd1

solid video but I disagree on skipping GWD1, while you can't do much for Kreeara Vamp plus kiting you can farm kril and Graardor for ages.

The first thing I did on my iron was experience the mining/smithing update all the way to getting Masterwork. Now Vindicta's just being rude about drops

I got 99 mining smithing so had bis melee all the way to masterwork also got amulett on my 44 barrow:D
