I’ll never forget this song
It was February 2018. Me and my Pop had a fight that started a couple months before and I swore I’d never talk to him again. This song was playing and it took me back to all the years we had. Slowly I realized he was exactly like the dad in the song. My father was always my role model even when I didn’t know he was. I realized how much he always meant to me and how much he did for me, how much I learned from him, and how important he was to me. After not speaking for a month I called him on the phone to see how he was doing. It took about two years and a lot of personal growth, but we rebuilt our relationship and made it indestructible. I thank God I was blessed with a role model father and I hope to be at least half the man he is.
