I met Kevin and his wife at a pub (bar) in San Francisco. I had no idea who he was, but his wife said, "Oh, he actually does stand-up. He's pretty popular in the UK." I thought it was some open-mic, amateur hobby thing. Got back to my hotel, looked up "Kevin Bridges" and couldn't believe I was just drinking Oban with that guy! (He was explaining how to drink Scotch properly and offered to buy me any Scotch. When I told him I wanted to try the 18yr Macallan he said to the bartender, "We'll get the Oban.") Really nice people. I hope someday he can work into his act the drunk Texas couple from the roof top pool party they were telling me about: the 60-something year old husband is passed out on the concrete and the wife's friend keeps trying to get the wife's attention (strong Texas, drunk accent), "Your husband is on the graound! Your husband is on the graound!"
