How to Grip A Skateboard #shorts

This is a quick #shorts tutorial showing how to put griptape on your skateboard.

I always thought I did a solid job at applying my own grip tape but there's some nice pro tips in here. I always did the whole sanding the edges with a leftover piece of grip, but never did I think to sand the actual surface so it's not too grippy. I'm about ready to get a new deck soon too, can't wait to try this!

I like how easy and simple it is, like you only need a couple of common tools and you can even use the grip tape scraps to sand off the edges

Using the paper to press down and rub the grip tape to get it to stick is such a good idea, saves the hands a fair bit!

I actually used to use a zippo to heat the edges of the grip after I put it on, I never had the grip peel on me after I did it either

I'd recommend a small metal file for the edges instead of marring the sides of your screwdriver. I'm kinda weird like that tho. it helps to round out the edges. I also cut small X's over the holes for the screws for a cleaner hole.
