I was born in Salvador, capital of the state of Bahia. Pelourinho is a central neighborhood of the city. Place where slaves were punished while Portuguese colonization. It has been restored many times to be this colorful place as we see currently. Salvador is known as capital of happiness because of the people and the music made by local artists.

I am American but my Parents are Filipino. I hope one day the cities in the Philippines can be colorful like this. I think colorful cities are a good way to give a city life but hopefully cities like Manila can do something colorful but different.

Burano is beautiful! Went there during the spring with all the foggy clouds, but the colorful buildings still pops up well!!
