Create an entire website in Amaya

Web Design: Beginner Level - Amaya is a Free Open Source application for creating websites. A variety of tools that most people will find intuitive.

In this module, we'll create a basic website. First up, design one "perfect" page. This page will have a HEADER, NAVIGATION BARS, space for the BODY of text (which comes in later), and FOOTER information.

You can, at this time select a background color. If you decide to go with a dark background, select light-colored text. (i.e.: Black background works with text that are white, yellow or even orange.

We then use "SAVE AS" to save the page as the different web pages for the site. Important to remember to give each individual page its own TITLE. The TITLE is what appears in the upper left-hand corner of all browsers.

In the next module, we'll go over linking the NAVIGATION BARS.

Thanks for the responses. Will take this info into consideration for the next set of videos and I'll try to be a little clearer. Now, if you read the description, the process for creating a site is simple. Create one "perfect" pages then "save it as" all the pages your site will need. Then we can talk about linking them. You'll have a website up in no time at all.

i mean thanks for showing how to 'save as' to create different pages for your site but i would hardly call that 'creating an entire web site'

I am a complete amateur but I do feel it is misleading to tell people that a search engine will be looking for your home page. All the search engines are pretty useless at providing searchers for details that they are looking for but Google for one and Duck Duck go for two often open up on internal pages of my very amateur site. What you need to give them are misleading details so that they then target you.

That's an entire website ? I'm sorry but I don't see any website there... I watched this video because I want a real website, but I still have a blakc-and-white website... So, any video for more options ? Because Amaya have a lot of options...
