I am 4 weeks out from my strongman competition in December and this is day 2 of training (technically day 3). I did strict viking press, power stairs, and atlas stones. In my next video I will be away from Untamed Strength doing trap bar deadlifts, push presses, and front squats.

I also talk about how to increase volume besides just going from 5x5 to 5x10.

Increased volume has been a game changer for me lately. Doing a version of the program you posted this past spring. Switched the benching to overhead pressing and flipped one of the “blue” presses to bench in “red” and kept one of the presses “green”. Anyway, added volume has been key after spending 6+ months doing more conjugate style programming with more limited volume.

Tip for the power stairs! Get your feet further in front of the weight to get a forward momentum pulling it back up! (Y) :) Good luck in the competition!!

I wish I'd seen this before my strongwoman competition. I didn't figure out that quad thrust maneuver for power stairs until two weeks before competing! I realized I could do almost twice as many reps.

I deadlift 3 or 4 times a week and it has worked for me. Thanks for the video, everybody tells me doing that is stupid and now I have proof
