Persian War Elephants should be radically redesigned to incorporate a rider/mahout, just like Battle Elephants. It will be more realistic.

I always liked the ones that were completely different from regular units. Like the Chu Ko Nu who fired arrows like machine guns. Or the teutonic knight, who was like the hoplite in AoE1.

One important fact is that the older models are not ever viewed at such close distance and designed to look better from the distance of the original resolution.
