DSM Additive Manufacturing – now Covestro – aims to unlock the full potential of additive manufacturing enabling more efficient and sustainable production methods. For example, its Novamid® ID1030 CF10 (a DSM brand) can print parts with properties close to what is achievable through injection moulding – at the same speed as unreinforced plastics. It is a carbon-fibre-filled PA6/66 copolymer filament for 3D printing durable, strong, and stiff structural parts with high dimensional stability. And its Novamid® AM1030 FR (F) is a non-halogenated flame retardant filament that is an environmentally friendly, sustainable solution for applications requiring flame retardancy as a regulatory requirement.
