This is indeed lore accurate. With JUST the Master Sword, no bow or shield, Link took down a hoarde of monsters with two SILVER Lynels in it and just got ONE injury to his arm, and during the Great Calamity he took down so many Guardians over the course of SIX HOURS according to the Creating A Champion book's lore section that the Master Sword was rusting because of the sheer amount of Malice it was exposed to before he eventually went down. This Link is a Fierce Deity with no need for a mask.
