These are my "predictions" for sea creatures I'd love to see in Splatoon 3, but it's really just an excuse to geek out about cool marine animals.

I think smollusk from side order could be a Vulcan octopus, they look pretty similar

I think the idea of deep sea hydrothermal vents as a symbol is a great one thematically. These are areas of thriving life in an otherwise fairly barren environment. And what sort of landscapes have we seen in trailers so far? Deserts and arctic environments, similarly inhospitable places that may have a certain thriving metropolis full of squid-people in them.

Also I think tube worms are a great idea for the story missions. They basically look like underwater piranha plants anyway, make them an enemy type. Not to mention surviving incredibly toxic conditions may come in handy depending on how salty people are over splatfest results.

I would defiantly like to see a leaf sheep character they are so adorable and on of my favorite marine animals there are also alot tgey can do for character design and i love to see what they would come up with funny enough leaf sheep already have toon like appearances

As someone with a marine science background I'd love to see more creatures used in gameplay as maybe hazards or something? Maybe a bobbit worm that can make tagging areas of the map more difficult but if you succeed then you've got an inbuilt defense.

We’ve actually seen yeti crabs in splatoon! It was in the splatfest art of new life form vs. future tech! Ik its not in game but it’s just a cool thing I found

I would like to see a mantis shrimp and a sea spider in the next splatoon game.

It’s basic but I’m hoping we see a hermit crab! The splatoon artists are always super creative and a character who carries around their house seems right up their alley for interesting design potentials!

A Sally's Lightfoot crab would be nice, it would practice some kind of urban sport like parkour skating or roller skating
