I just did this mod and love it. Not being a fan of glues or tape I just removed the plastic piece on the bottom of the lid (only 5 screws) and used rivets and backing washers to keep the organizer permanently affixed. Now I can off road to my hearts content without worrying it's going to come loose. Thanks for the vid!

This mod fucking sucks, you have to cut up the damn thing and then once everything works, the lid won’t stay open. Waste of $15

I've had mine in my truck for over a year. Holding up good! I cut the zipper off the back of mine though... kinda wish I wouldn't have now. Lol

Had a quick question. I have two boys in car seats and would like to store all the my items behind or under their back seats but don't want to have to take out their car seats. Any ideas on interior storage? I saw you had a mounting on the back of the car seat.

I don't like how fragile the center console cover feels. I'm about 6 foot 215 lbs (athletic) and sometimes I feel like I could slightly over extend the top and snap it off. Somebody should make a better one. I broke the center console in my GF's Ford Ranger (leaning on it), but for that one there's actually an aftermarket metal support. Made the Ranger's center console very strong.

3rd Gens flip towards the rear not the side, I'm not sure if the same size. Good mod though.

Did the same exact mod about a month ago, Velcro didn't hold so I ended up removing the 5 screws holding the black plastic up and securing the organizer with 4 small screws and nuts.

Looks like you could put a holster there for your concealed handgun as well. Maybe with a stronger mounting application.

Did your Tacoma come with your audio screen? I am currently rocking the stock cd only dash in my 2006 tacoma with JBL and am looking to install a screen with aux/bluetooth, etc capabilities. I was wondering if you had any suggestions or could link me to a great place on tacomaworld. Cheers!
