Dude, this is the first video lesson I've seen that shows you how to connect the boxes, it's great!!

I really like these kinds of lessons. I also enjoy the lick lesson but stuff like this really teaches how to use your own ideas instead of just someone else lick

Thanks for this, I've read and watched a lot about how to connect the scales and get the idea of it, but as a beginner it's good to have a preset shape like this that I know is correct. One recommendation: because this is about connecting scales and shapes you should list what the notes you're playing are in the tutorial. That way people can understand why the scale connects the way it does, and knowing the roots you're playing will make it easier to apply to other scales and patterns later. Thanks again thlugh, great video.

Great lesson Brotha!!! I just started scales and was already tired of the boring boxes. This will make them a bit more fun.

so basically i just if i wana move up the neck going to the root note into the next shape is how it happens? like i play a lot of harmonic minor scales with some phyrigian would i be able to slide into a phyrigian box from a harmonic minor shape if i just go to the note up or down the fretboard that has the same root as the box i was just in? is this always possible or can there be exceptions for some things?

Could you tell me how to get the tabs? Can’t find the description? Thanks!
charlesivey
Great lesson but the tab I pulled up shows 12 14 on b string am I getting the wrong tab?
davidemmons
your tab is wrong. B string tab doesn't match your video. b string action is 13-15 not 12-15. come on man

If 99% of guitar player are right handed why don't you guys flip the video image to make more sense for the viewer? I think this would greatly improve the learning process. It would be like looking in a mirror. Just a thought.
