Hi McWhorter! This is a message from your future.... I am addressing you from the year 2019. Your videos are a big help and I find your teaching method and speed to be very comprehensible for an old man such as myself.

Thank you Paul - I’m a 73 year old in the UK with zero electronics knowledge !- thoroughly enjoying your series on the Arduino. Just ordered my Uno starter kit. looking forward to the next 59 lessons !!!

I have only just found these videos and I really like the teaching style. I like the way mistakes are made in the code and then corrected as the programme proceeds. It becomes almost a game to spot them in advance but it really grabs the attention. A practical go-do-it approach. Big thumbs up from a beginner like me.

It's great to see these videos getting so much use, 6 years after they were first posted.

Thank you so much Mr. McWhorter!
I just got my Arduino for Christmas and I have ZERO experience with computers, electronics or any technical. I'm just a dumb logger, but your lessons are so well done, that I am having no difficulty learning how to program and play with the Arduino. You are a very good teacher.
Also glad to see you are a brother in the Lord. God bless!

Thanks Paul. I have followed your tutorials and my first coding was to create a blinking red SOS signal and then a green led flash to signal the end of the cycle. I then added the serial port printing and when I loaded it to the Arduino it worked perfectly. Thank you so much for your clear teaching style. I have never coded anything before and I am feeling pretty chuffed at the moment because something I created actually worked due to your clear instruction.

Cool points about not just copy & pasting but actually typing out the code while following tutorials in order to really learn it. One of my favorite computer teachers said for this reason it's good practice to change the variable names when following exercises.

I will NEVER copy and paste!!! For me writing the code is the best part!. Thanks Paul, I'm cruising along nicely through your courses. I actually don't have my LED's and resistor yet as they're still in the post, however one can still write the code and compile it to check for errors. I then just save the sketches for when i receive the parts. You're a good man, God bless!

I like the speed at which you are going. It is important to see clear close-ups of the board and nice clear Fritzig diagrams. Being methodical about increasing skills works best for me. thanks

Paul, you are initiating transmission on the sending side, pushing the code from the computer to the Arduino. We generally consider transmission to be upstream and reception to be downstream. That is what makes this an upload, rather than a download. Thanks for creating and sharing the tutorial series!

Thank you for the series, I've only reached this video but I've learned more in three days from your videos than I have over years and numerous classes... So much wasted time it seems. Teaching is a skill itself and you are quite awesome. Your videos are connecting much of the knowledge that I didn't quite grasp firmly together and finally now I'm understanding the big picture. Subbed and liked.
