I knew ELS 501 and ELS 402 would be heading south this morning after parking over-night near my house. I got up early and caught them passing by around 8:45am today. Keep an eye out Friday for some cool videos from my chase south of this very train!

That red rock your seeing.. again that is screened iron ore waste rock the fine ore is high in iron. This was once shipped out of Sidnaw on rail cars now out of Channing ore is from mines in BESSEMER MI. Trucked to Channing.

The stop at the Crossing may have still been required as that might be the first train through since repairs and this would confirm they are operating when the train is present. Good variety with the Ex BNSF boxcars remarked to WRWK Warwick Ry. Also a fair amount of weight with the Alter scrap and the cars of over burden which can be processed for the iron oxide to be used as paint pigment. Supposedly the destination is in Missouri

I get the impression that the railway is getting busier. Longer trains and more trains and Jason more often filing on socks. Am I right?!

What is it with the crossing signals ? Their maintenance leaves something to be desired to say the least. I am about to read an article on the E&LS in the summer issue of Classic Trains Magazine.

Hello from the Town of Westfield NY.

Growing up here not far from the main line Class 1 railroad, and seeing the videos from the North Cumberland Mine Railway a Class 2. I do not know how your 1 track railroad is still running. Is it a Class 4 or higher???😅

You always do a nice job on your videos no matter what the weather. I hope that Fire Hydrant does not get damaged again.
