Beware the DEADLY Crow Mauler in #fearandhunger.

The crow mauler is one of the deadliest and most frightening bosses in survival horror. This enemy will stalk the player through the dungeons of Fear and Hunger, and You will know he’s close once the on screen alert of A terrifying presence has entered the room appears, and he will wait at the exit of the area to ambush the player. Even more disturbing is the Crow Mauler used to be human and was captain Rudimer in the Rondon Army who sought to rid the dungeons of evil, only to succumb to and be morphed by the evil himself.

If encountered, he can quickly eliminate your entire party within a few turns, or will cause the blindness status effect which leaves your character with heavily lowered accuracy & unable to see in the open world. As if the crow mauler wasn't terrifying enough, there is a double headed version in the final Gauntlet area with twice the deadly attacks.

Well, that knight sprite isn't the captain who became crow mauler.
Btw, like every fight in this game, it can be made super easy! Using the penance armour or the iron mask (a drop from an NPC who appears after a while in the first dungeon floor) you can get immunity to blindness. You can also dodge the peck without flipping a coin by just blocking.

The strategy basically sums up to, blind crow mauler with a red vial, block before it tries to peck, and do damage. Hell, someone beat him as the Girl!
