A 12-year-old boy has died, and three others wounded after a gunman opened fire on an Israeli bus in the occupied West Bank, according to Israeli military and medics.
The shooting happened south of Jerusalem, near Bethlehem at the tunnel checkpoint around 11:30am (local time) on Wednesday.
The IDF said in a statement, “Following the initial report, a terrorist opened fire at an Israeli civilian bus in the area of the el-Khader Junction.”
“Israeli security forces are pursuing the terrorist, setting up roadblocks and encircling the area of Bethlehem.”
