I once told my supervisor that they say slow and steady wins the race. But I also told him ( referring to my work ethics ) that fast and steady wins two races.
He smiled at that statement.

I’ve seen videos of hare outrun 2 race dogs with incredible stamina. Even though the dogs are faster, the hare always makes sharp turns at the right moments.
