Most sites talking about the whoosh effect relate it to keto diets. Im definitely not in ketosis as i eat 150 or more grams of carbs daily but I experience the weight lose symptoms, ie. my weight remains the same or even increases slightly for weeks (usually around 2) then suddenly Ill step on the scale and my weight will be down 4 to 6 lbs. Then the cycle repeats. Its a little frustrating because until the drop you dont know if the diets working but ive been through it enough to know so now i just go with it. I have found that if i do a 16 hr fast i can force the weight loss. Im posting this because im sure there are others that experience it but like me arent cutting out all carbs.
