Jibo - robot assistant for the entire family

The Medialab developers from the university of Massachusetts created a robot and called him Jibo. Jibo is known as a family robot, created to help its owners. That guy is very capable: he collects incoming calls, emails and other data. Jibo is proved to be a great helper for both adults and kids. To make Jibo operate he should be connected to the smartphone or a computer. Robot can receive, send or play incoming messages for his owner, in this way Jibo can act as a device responsible for the operation of electronic devices all around the house. If necessary robot can be connected to the CCTV cameras, which will enable him to notify the owner if somebody is at the door. Apart from the main features, Jibo can be used as means of communication as the robot has an inbuilt camera that allows you to make audio and video calls. You can control your robot thru your smartphone by means of a special app or, alternatively, by maling voice commands. Jibo`s intellect allows him to memorize quite a lot of information, react to his owner and perform various tasks. Besides all of the above you can chat with your robot. Throughout the campaign Jibo gathered more than 3 and a half million dollars at indiegogo website. The family robot is now available for purchasing at the price of 749 dollars.
