Sad that you mentioned google and cloudflare but didn't mention quad9 or adguard DNS both of which are non logging

You can redirect DNS requests for "blocked" domain names to return a not found response rather easily when running your own DNS service.

It feels wrong to have that level of security involving a remote third party at the browser level, and even more wrong "on" by default.

Is it only the port number that is different between DNS over HTTPS (which is HTTP over TLS) vs DNS over TLS.?Or are there other technical details. What is TLS doing exactly. I know that it can encrypt any protocol in the application layer, but is it leaving the type of protocol unencrypted and why is it doing that?
