Spider and the Spot : final transmission of a dying project.

This is the first minute or so of a film I was working on for a few months this year.I built everything you see here , from the materials and shaders, to the particle systems and physics rigs. Ultimately though, when source filmmaker came out, I realized that I'll never finish this, due to the difficulty of working on such an old and busted build of Unreal tournament 3. I've uploaded several of the in progress clips so you can see storyboards in motion, etc, to get a feel for what the finished movie would have been like.

The discontinued wreckage of "The Spider and the Spot" , which I will never finish.

I actually think this looks pretty good, the cinematography is great and the visual style is unlike anything I've seen before.

This faux(or true) cell shading is awesome. Looks like a game that has been forgotten on an old platform. Amazing.

What a shame. This looks sick. But yeah, I'm thinkin what those other two comments say as well. This style is really interesting.

i came here from "after aperture" even though they are made by the same people, this kinda spoiled the mood, but still this is a good video. good animation too

That's shame. :( I love that style because it's so cool and reminds me of killer7 (but colourful) and Madworld (well, more detailed). They are on Gamecube/PS2 and Wii respectively. I find realistic graphics good but boring 'cos I already have seen real life. lol
I wonder SFM could cope with this engine...
