PCRN webinar Carter Doherty Sept 2023

In this Palliative Care Research Network (PCRN) webinar Dr Gillian Carter and Dr Julie Doherty share their experiences of developing a Care Home nurse training program, designed to support necessary discussions about comfort care with family carers of residents with advanced dementia. They describe the implementation and subsequent changes of this training resource, and its impact on carers and Care Home nurses. To date this resource has experienced three iterations across 10 years, in particular in March 2020 (when the world was turned on its head for all of us) this resource was taken in an unexpected direction.
