A widespread severe weather outbreak struck a very large portion of the United States today. One of the hardest hit areas were Newton, Kansas as training severe thunderstorms pummeled the area for hours. Leading to widespread tree damage, downed powerlines, trees on homes and smashing cars, along with Flash Flooding.

My grandparents are from Newton, KS. My late father and late uncle both were born & raised there. Kinda eerie to see the small town you know so well to be destroyed and in such disarray.

Was it a tornado or straight line winds? The trees look like it was straight line winds. We had a micro burst in Lyon county

I live here in newton I really enjoyed the rain, nice background noise as my crappy neighbors got destroyed by falling trees lol

I understand that..I've lived in Ks off and on since I was 12..but I have also lived in Okinawa where they do have typhoons. KS has had some pretty bad weather like this..yes

I was driving home in that storm, probably 20 min before it hit Newton

Buddy, can you spare a drop. I'm sitting up here in the PNW baking in an epic heatwave, where barely 2" of rain has fallen since February. That copious rain is lookin' pretty good right about now. You can have the wind; but the RAIN, yeah, haul some _this_ way....

the pain and hurt from you let Him comfort you and lift you up and
give you strength in this time of sorrow😪 Jesus Christ loves you
all more then you could possibly know and He longs for you to call
upon His Holy name for forgiveness and salvation, to give the free
gift of the Father to you which is everlasting life. Please call upon
His Holy name and be saved through Him. REPENT, Believe in the
Son of GOD, whom GOD sent to take upon Himself the sins of the
world so we could all be reconciled back to the Heavenly FATHER
Believe also the GOSPEL of SALVATION, Be baptized in the name of
Jesus Christ, become born again in Christ and be SAVED. And may
