The woman’s name is Christa Nicole. She came to their door as a setup so she could come in and take all their stuff. She was hiding from cars because she didn’t want any sort of light or attention drawn to her. She just wanted to get and thieve them. Hope this explains. She was charged with attempt of burglary and assault with prison time.

I'm a former police officer this is one way home invasions are done. I actually had a woman come to our door in Florida saying she was out of gas. I answered my door armed and let her see I was. She said in a loud voice oh you have a gun. As soon as she said it she turned and ran I saw two males follow her from the corner of my house.

The fact that she was knocking on the door in a manner as to not awaken or disturb any of the neighbors is telling. People who are really in fear of their lives don't care WHO they awaken. They want someone, ANYONE, to help!

I was in a situation very similar to this a few years ago. A woman was frantically knocking at my door screaming she needed help, I asked through the door what the problem was. She said her boyfriend was coming after her and she needed to call the police but she didn't have her phone because he broke it. I opened the door cautiously with my shotgun ready to go and she was crying and freaking out and I looked down the street a little bit and I saw his ass jogging towards her with a fucking machete. I got her in my house called 911 and 3 minutes later he was getting arrested in my front yard.

I don’t know what’s worse, actually needing help and being ignored, or being so down bad you have to exploit someone’s kindness. Both are equally terrifying though.

When I was 13, someone pulled up and asked if I needed a ride as I was just walking around the corner to school. I declined and continued to school as my mother told me as she warned of potential kidnappers. I'm glad I did what my mother said.

People like that need to get a special amount of time in prison for ruining neighbourly trust.
